Handbooks
Please refer to our Communication page for details on the rates as it greatly depends on the child's age and time spent (half day / full day) as well as if the question relates to drop in rates.
Hours are listed on our home page! This includes information about how early children may be dropped off and when they must be picked up.
To be placed on the waiting list, an individual must be pregnant.
An exception applies for IVF pregnancies, in which case a request to be added may be made on the day of embryo transfer.
Details if the waiting list is accepting more details may be found under the Parent Corner. If we are accepting new requests, you will be able to utilize a form to provide the necessary information to be evaluated for acceptance onto the waiting list. When new requests are received, they will be reviewed and the coordinator will be in contact with you.
As Provided in the Parent Handbook:
The State allows us to care for 75 children, 6 weeks to 8 years of age, between 6:15 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
With that, the youngest the Childcare Center can take is 6 weeks old.
Yes, second child rate does apply to additional child.
The schedules are due to the Coordinator via an email by the 10th of each Month. A Template has been provided in the following section. The template includes a tab for each month you may use to specify the dates in which childcare services are needed.
Minor adjustments may be made on Monday by 6:00 PM for the following week
As provided in the Parent Handbook:
The coordinator may fit in a late schedule as ratio allows, but by turning in a late schedule it is not
to be assumed the request can be accommodated. If the contract is not turned in by the 17th of the month, a
$5.00 late contract fee per child, per day will be charged. Due to staffing, contracts will not be accepted within 2
days of the new month and will result in a gap of placement, minimally of a week unless staffing will not be
impacted (see drop in rates).
Parents will be charged for the contract they submit billed out weekly. If a child is
ill or will not be attending a scheduled day of preschool or childcare at the center, please call as soon as
possible to let Valley Childcare know the child will not be attending; however, refunds are not made available as
staffing needs are already set for the timeframe.
As provided in the Parent Handbook:

The purpose of this grievance procedure policy is to explain the scope and definition of grievances, and how to report and close a grievance.
All grievances will be submitted to the Director in writing. An acknowledgement of the grievance will be filed within 1 working day unless unusual circumstances arise (i.e. out of office, vacation, etc.). The Director will respond to the grievance within five working days. A copy of the decision will be sent to the Valley Preschool Board of Directors. If a family is not satisfied with the decision, they have the right to take the problem directly to the Valley Preschool Board of Directors. Such grievances to be discussed by the Board will be placed at least one week in advance of the Board's regularly scheduled meeting, with a decision rendered within 30 days.
The PDF to print and fill out may be found under Miscellaneous Documents.
