Full-Time Infant Room Staff
Position Summary:
The Childcare Staff supports the daily operations of the infant classroom by providing attentive, nurturing care and implementing activities that promote each child’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Working under the direction of the On-site Coordinator & Director, this position helps create a warm, safe, and engaging environment where our littlest learners can grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consistent, caring supervision of children at all times.
Assist the Childcare Lead in planning and implementing daily activities and routines.
Support a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages cooperation and curiosity.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
Help with feedings, snacks, rest time, diapering, and transitions in accordance with program guidelines.
Model appropriate, respectful behavior and positive guidance techniques.
Build positive relationships with families through professional communication.
Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
Qualifications:
Required (Must-Haves):
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, or currently enrolled in high school (note: specific labor restrictions apply for students).
Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and engage in active play (crawling, sitting on the floor, etc.).
Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification, or the commitment to obtain it upon hire.
Attributes: Must be dependable, flexible, and have a heart for nurturing infants.
Compliance: Ability to follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
Desired:
Experience: Previous experience working with young children in a childcare, preschool, or similar professional setting.
Specialized Training: Coursework or a formal credential in Early Childhood Education (such as a CDA).
Knowledge: Familiarity with child development milestones and positive behavior guidance techniques.
